Mothers and Daughters...

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting up with Donna and her two beautiful daughters. This was the first time that I have had that thrill of creating images in a long time. Shooting outdoors is challenging for so many reasons, but when the gals suggested a spot along Campbell Rivers shoreline, close to their heart... I was sold. Being somewhere that I don't normally shoot forced me to get creative, and allowed me to be incredibly inspired by these gorgeous gals, the beautiful day and their special location choice. Here are a few of my favorites!

Jana + Craig= Shea!!!

Well, I've come out of hiding... or partially. I am still enjoying some "me" (and puppy) time. Going for walks, day treks with my fellas (Bryce and Frank) and just really getting myself all back together in preparation for another "busy" season. Which begins in March this year.

In any case, I'm not really back shooting yet. I am only taking on about one shoot per week until March. I really need to or else, I fear my creative juices will run dry... leaving me without anything to offer my clients, and that would be awful.

So, I'm re-grouping. I have shut the Willow Point studio doors, and am only doing studio shoots that were booked before the holidays, in my home. We are in the very beginning stages of building our own studio in our own yard. I will keep you posted on that as we move along with that.

In the meantime, here is beautiful Jana, her husband Craig, and their amazing little boy Shea. Congratulations you guys, he is such a LOVE BUG!!!

Off to answer emails, phone calls, re-design wedding packages, business cards and write up wedding contracts, and then eventually clean my house... yah, that's my "me" time. More soon...

Bring on the sunshine!!!

Yes, I'm leaving in the morning for Mexico. Woe is me. In skipping town for a while, I'm also saying goodbye to October. Vancouver Island Photography is certainly beautiful in the fall, however I noticed this morning that the stunning fall leaves have officially "fallen" and are actually all over my lawn. With October over, I realize that I have been hording all of my October family sessions... and thought I would leave you all with a massive update from my October shoots.

I'm really looking forward to a bit of r and r, and also a few margaritas. In any case, here is more or less what October looked like.

In the studio..... we are quickly and humbly reminded, that there is great beauty in growing babies... beautifully pregnant blanck and white

And that those beautiful bellies, produce the most amazing little packages.

To very grateful parents,

I was swept off my feet by small people...

Makenzie with her amazing smile Taylor with her giant heart and amazing laughter Colbie with her adorable face and her toe eating talents...

Outside, I was witness a lot of family magic, the kind only created with love and More love... and a splash of joy.... What beautiful children!! And last but not least...I was smitten with Nolan.... This will hopefully be along the lines of how I'll be for the next week basking in the sun in Mexico! Have a fabulous weekend, and week, and another weekend! I look forward to sharing images with you, upon my return!
